Enhancement of cultural

ecclesiastical heritage

The arch. Francesca Giani foundation Summa Humanitate stepped in as a witness to the first ed . School and reminded us of the duty to preserve and share the beauty of our ecclesiastical assets

that are an expression of God's beauty.

In the meeting in November, the School of Management Ministry has been fortunate to have the testimony of the architect Francesca Giani that operates internationally for the Church through the Foundation Summa Humanitate .
A brief description of the Foundation, which represents excellence in management and consulting assets church. The Foundation Summa Humanitate is a non-profit organization that supports the Church's institutions in order to solve the management problems of the social projects targeted at people most in need . The Mission of the Foundation is "to contribute to the social and pastoral work of the Catholic Church by promoting the growth of its presence in the modern society ." The foundation aims to support religious institutes and dioceses in pursuit of their social, missionaries, evangelizing and ecclesiastical goals.

Operationally : it operates through contracts for services residences for elderly religious; it administers the holiday homes, guesthouses and centers of spirituality; it manages social projects and development cooperation; it helps the congregation and institutes in areas such as the establishment of associations, cooperatives or foundations, the analysis of economic and auditing, the elaboration of estimates, the employment, legal and technical-architecture advice.
In recent years more than 100 congregations and dioceses have collaborated with the Foundation Summa Humanitate.

The arch. Giani, from his vast experience in the field, helped us to reflect on the great value that cultural goods are, first and foremost as an opportunity for ministry.
The intervention was very centred on the management and protection of property, which should not be a problem but must be seen as a resource . "Space is a talent entrusted to us to make it grow ." To do this however requires a whole series of care and expedients that our teacher has skillfully illustrated . In particular, it reminded us that every decision must depend on the discernment about the future of the institute , diocese , parish . That is clear and shared discernment based on the charism and the needs of the institution and who you want to serve .
It ' clear, however, as today , with the complexity of the laws , it is necessary to use consultants , and then it becomes useful to know how to choose .
